Wigwam Association - Jujube Court

A driving force behind activities for the solidarity-based and sustainable development of the Colognese area and nearby Berica plain and more generally of the Bassa Veronese, the Wigwam Local Community sums up in itself various values proposing initiatives of a recreational, cultural and social nature.
It has an 'experience of social horticulture and recurring are the meetings with historians and men of letters, experts in local traditions, artists and musicians, experts in botany and cuisine of the Lower Veronese area, the nearby Berica area and of national and sometimes international origin.
The Community can host small events and family parties of members, exhibitions, classes, lectures and workshops.
The Wigwam Community offers the following themes:

- RELAXATION TOURISM that places our business reality as a catalyst of national and even international flows for the nearby Berica Area itself
- proposal of the main CYCLE TOURISTIC ITINERARIES that affect this area: the Ostiglia-Treviso Cycle Route, whose ancient station in Cologna Veneta (VR) is located a few hundred meters from the Farm with accommodation Corte delle Giuggiole; the Alta Via dei Berici Cycle Route; the cultural itineraries of the Berica plain (GB1)
- starting, stopping or arrival point of the itineraries to the Venetian Villas in the area.

The goal is to make visible to the slow tourism public the services and supports offered by the Corte delle Giuggiole with full availability for welcoming and discovering the historical aspects of the area.
In addition, through this new approach we intend to extend our educational proposals to special people with disabilities, with the presentation of continuous educational workshops.

This vision of life is reflected by the "WIGWAM" BRAND (registered throughout the EU and in many countries of the World). In fact, Wigwam is the name by which the Native North Americans who lived around the Great Lakes called the large circular hut where the most important moments for the tribes took place: meetings, assemblies, ceremonies, and feasts.
In the same way, Wigwam Clubs also want to be a place for meeting, gathering , discussion, convergence and decision making while respecting a balanced relationship with the environment and safeguarding the uniqueness of indigenous cultures, while not renouncing evolution and improvement and thus incorporating technological innovations.

Moreover, the LOGO "WIGWAM," representing the stylized leaf of the chestnut tree, is intended to symbolize the renewable environmental resource par excellence: in fact, this tree, which requires little care and can be used in all its parts, not only constitutes an important factor of hydrogeological stability, but has been a vital food and production resource for many generations.

The first Wigwam Project Club was founded on December 3, 1972, in Brusadure di Bovolenta in the Province of Padua ( Veneto Region-Italy ) by Efrem Tassinato and a small group of friends with the intention of demonstrating that 'agriculture without the use of poisons would not only be technically possible but also economically advantageous and thus arrive at a concrete action in the field of more general environmental education, at a time pervaded by debates and discussions often an end in themselves.
